Pureport Announces Feature Enhancements to Its On-Demand Cloud Connectivity Platform
New functionality includes Cloud Grade NAT for IP address conflict resolution
RALEIGH, NC—May 7, 2019—(PRNEWSWIRE) —
Multicloud Networking Provider Pureport today announced major feature enhancements to its Multicloud Fabric™ platform which enables seamless orchestration of private connectivity to the major cloud providers. Pureport’s Multicloud Fabric empowers businesses of all sizes to securely interconnect clouds, sites, and on-premises facilities in minutes, without the need for additional physical infrastructure.
Multicloud, hybrid cloud, and multi-site networks are often configured with overlapping IP address ranges. To solve this common obstacle, Pureport’s new product enhancements include Cloud Grade NAT functionality, a feature that intelligently detects and resolves overlapping IP address conflicts. By mitigating these conflicts, organizations can avoid significant expense, and immediately proceed with network interconnection.
“Enabling the new Cloud Grade NAT functionality for a connected network is as simple as checking a box in our console, which is just one example of how these features are truly evolving the way cloud networks are built,” said Doug Mittendorf, CTO of Pureport. “A great application of the Cloud Grade NAT functionality is to support SaaS providers who offer private connectivity to their customers, where the SaaS provider has no control over the customer networks. With Cloud Grade NAT, this is no longer an issue.”
In this latest release, Pureport’s Console has been enhanced to make it even easier to build and deploy multicloud, hybrid cloud, and multi-site networks within minutes. The Console now offers a user-friendly, visual tool to manage cloud networks, thereby reducing the administrative overhead and technical expertise often required when deploying traditional networks.
"Cloud networking is becoming more and more challenging as organizations attempt to marry multiple dispersed technologies, and we're on a mission to remove the common obstacles organizations face today when creating and managing cloud networks—specifically time to deployment, and excessive expenses incurred in deployment and management,” said Rich Lee, CEO of Pureport. “This latest version of Pureport’s platform addresses industry feedback and makes cloud networking easier, faster, and more affordable.”
Additional Key Feature Enhancements of Pureport’s Multicloud Fabric include:
Layer 3 Networking
All Pureport gateways now support BGP Peering to allow for dynamic exchange of routes with edge routers, as well as between other gateways across an organization’s private network. Cloud connections support automatic failover between redundant gateways and allow all edge routers to dynamically learn the routes to all interconnected subnets.
Automated BGP Configuration
Pureport's Distributed Multicloud Router simplifies network configuration and deployment by assigning network subnets, discovering autonomous system numbers, and automatically configuring BGP sessions on the administrator’s behalf.
Every connection within a Pureport network is highly available by default, where each connection has two gateway containers across separate availability zones. Traffic will continue to flow, even if a failure—such as a power outage, provider circuit loss, switch failure, engine failure, etc.—occurs in one of the two zones.
Power Seamless Integrations with Existing Orchestration and Automation Systems
Pureport now exposes a simple REST API, allowing for DevOps automation of multicloud and hybrid cloud networks using existing orchestration and automation tools.
Pureport's Multicloud Fabric is deployed to five key interconnection facilities (San Jose, Seattle, Washington DC, Chicago, and Dallas) with a full-mesh backbone between all locations. This allows for low-latency, private connectivity between all public cloud regions in the US.
Pureport’s latest product enhancements are available today. Organizations can visit https://console.pureport.com to create an account and begin deploying cloud networks in minutes.
Pureport’s Multicloud Fabric seamlessly orchestrates private connectivity to Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud, and IBM Cloud. Whether a multicloud, hybrid cloud, or multi-site network, Pureport’s Multicloud Fabric enables organizations to securely deploy cloud connections within minutes, and without the need for additional physical infrastructure. Pureport’s Multicloud Fabric includes a distributed multicloud router that enables connections between sites and cloud providers from the same network, and supports Layer 3, BGP Peering between them. Pureport’s Console offers a visual tool for self-service management of cloud networks, and reduces the administrative overhead and technical expertise often required when deploying traditional networks. Pureport charges based on allocated bandwidth per hour, which allows organizations to pay for only what is needed.
